Definitely not wearable, art...

Or, why I want to go to Finland. I've got this kicking idea for socks.

HELSINKI, FINLAND.- The Kunsthalle summer exhibition presents an exceptionally broad review of work by Kaarina Kaikkonen (b. 1952). The show will include works ranging from the 1980s to the present day, as well as photos of earlier, now dismantled installations. Kaikkonen will also create new installations for the Kunsthalle show using materials such as men's jackets, women's shoes and toilet paper. The ever-important community dimension of Kaikkonen's art will acquire a new twist in this exhibition, as the public will have an opportunity to help make the work.
